The Institute for Advanced Studies?in collaboration with Professor?Rachel Norman,?Dean of Research Engagement and Performance, are hosting?a?virtual mini research integrity in research culture?festival event over the?Autumn?and Winter 2020.
Researchers at any career stage, including our postgraduate researchers, are invited to attend these monthly events that will explore different aspects of research integrity of interest and relevance to the University of Stirling research community:
- an Introduction to the new Ethics Review Manager?on October 29 at 10.30-11.30am with Rachel Beaton, Research?Integrity and?Governance Manager.
- Safeguarding in Research?presentation and Q&A session on November 19?at 10.30-12.00 with Dr Dalene Swanson (Senior Lecturer FoSS), Dr Jennifer Dickie (Lecturer FoNS) and Dr Rebecca Foster (Research Fellow FoSS) who will join us to share their?experiences of conducting research with integrity in an international context and with vulnerable audiences.
- A Research Integrity?Panel Session on December 10 at 2-3.30pm, chaired by Professor Malcolm MacLeod, Senior Deputy Principal, with Panellists from across the University who will join us to explore expectations, challenges and discuss how good research integrity can be embedded in day-to-day research practice.
Before the panel event, a review of research integrity at the University of Stirling will take place via a short anonymous survey.?If you would like to contribute, your feedback will allow for a better understanding of the levels of awareness and experiences and will form the basis for discussion at the Research Integrity panel session. Details on the survey will follow in due course.
